Our Heritage

Woven in India

Every fabric begins with a thread. Every thread carries a story. India's textile heritage is the inspiration behind everything Kauseyam creates.

A living tradition

India's textile history spans thousands of years and nearly every region of the country — from the brocades of Varanasi and the silks of Kanchipuram to the Jamdani of Bengal, the Ikat of Telangana and Odisha, the Chanderi of Madhya Pradesh and the block prints of Rajasthan and Gujarat.

From fibre to garment

Fibre becomes yarn. Yarn takes colour. The loom gives it structure. Textile becomes design, and design becomes a garment. We see this chain as a reminder that clothing carries knowledge, not just style.

How it shapes Kauseyam

We draw on this heritage for inspiration — colour, proportion, motif and the respect for materials. We describe specific techniques or origins on a product only when they are verified for that product.
